It's quite obvious to me after watching all that footage of the natives celebrating the Investiture of Carlo in 1969, and before him Edward in 1911 that the natives are quite happy to do their 'Uncle & Aunty Taffy' forelock tugging. This applies to the Welsh (English speakers) as it does 'Y Cymry (Cymraeg Speakers), of course hearing and seeing ''Southerners'' or indeed pobl Deheubarth and pobl Powys aka 'Marchia Wallie' is one thing but compared to pobl Gwynedd doing same, in the Cymric Cultural heartland and homeland of a 1000 years of Welsh Native Dynasties is a kind of huge shock to my Patriotic belief system.

.Yes! might indeed say ''Whither Welsh Nationalism'', not least in Gwynedd, a Region aka 'Gwledydd' of the native princes which since 1969 has, or rather most of us thought in our misguided patriotism - to be a rock hard Welsh Nationalist domain but it seems not. For lets face it pobl Gwynedd appear to love their English Prince and are eagerly looking forward to William Wales being the next, and that also appears to be the 'sooner the better'. If one goes by not only Media report, and TV footage and Radio discussion, both Welsh & Cymry just cannot get enough of English Royalty. For further proof just take a look at the below links to all the pro - Investitures and English Princes of Wales stuff on the web over last few days on and around the 40th Anniversary of the 1969 Investiture.

Crown coming from Gwynedd, or is it just Caernarfon Royal Town? As for any Anti - Investiture content on the web one would have to look hard indeed to discover such, and what there is in main is my Patriotic out pourings and the pro - active campaigning by Balchder Cymru. Not least BC on Wenesday 1st July 2009 made a significant stand at the Gate of Caernarfon Castle in a Picket Protest. Yes, there were other patriots but the campaigning activist initiative I have long laboured at promotion of, in main was seized by BC and it's members from the North East March. Where were the 100's of Gwladgarwyr Gwynedd that there should have been there, let alone many dozens of patriots at least from other regions/Gwledydd of Cymru/Wales? Indeed where were Welsh Republicans, and the 'Cambrianista' Petitioners? as for Y Crachach Newydd and 'Celebs Cymru', I was not truly expecting any of they!

One may excuses the masses but I do not, not least pobl Gwynedd who should know surely much more of their medieval history than say, the South does. After all as speakers of the native language are they not heirs to a poetic tradition that would inform them of this history? Thence being possibly the most ardent of members of 'Yr Urdd' in their youth, and visitors in their 1000's to any number of Eisteddfods would they not by now be the most committed of Welsh Nationalists, or at very least loyal to their native heritage?

I think I have said enough about Investitures now, hence it's Ton y Pandy 1910 - 2010 and then 1911 - 2011 but not about Investitures but more so the Llanelli Riots 1911. Focusing on the South and later history for two years will make a change. I am also considering forming a 'Southern League' to seek some Silurian Independence from Bae Caerdydd and Gwynedd Imperialism!
