OLYMPICS, WALES and 'BRITISHNESS' - WELSH NATIONAL CONSCIOUSNESS AND IDENTITY MORE SHALLOW AND WEAK THAT IT WAS 50 YEARS AGO - WHY IS THAT?

Not much of a strong National Identity nor Consciousnesses anyway, not even after 50 years of advances in 'Cymraeg' education, only Historical Consciousness serves well the making of National Identity or of course having a Government that will brain wash people into believing and accepting a particular version of history be it 'Anglo' or 'Cambro'. Whatever, it would seem that the Olympics have proved that point and we still have two funerals, a Coronation and Investiture to go thru. So that's it, forget Plaid Cymru or any other Welsh Nationalism getting anywhere, forget Independence and there ever being a Welsh Republic, no chance!

Geth Comment: I agree, I have been wondering about certain Patriotic Poseurs selling stuff and wondering if they make donations to any Patriotic Cause. Over the years I and Sian Ifan have spent 'Thousands' and just over the past couple of years in promotion of Anti - Windmill Campaiging it must have run  between us into a £1000 plus in not just finnancial costs of running about the Country, cost of Petrol and also if not sleeing in the Car then paying out on Lodges also B&B. Paying for Campaign Materials and Photocopying of posters etc, etc. That is not counting the Cost of time either which would be more profitably spent elsewhere. Have you ever seen us ask for money, donations or contributions of any kind other than seeking patriots to join us to do some Patriotic Work or campaigning. No, if we are not paying out of our own pocket we seek out sponsors as those who forked out for Coron Glyndwr and Cledyf y Genedl also the plaques for Ardd Arwyr Glyndwr at Cefn Caer. Sure Sian has produced Patriotic Products out of her own money and she hardly ever sees any of it returned and more than liklly just recycled back into her Achos Glyndwr. Me, likewise on Stryveland Cymru and other campaigns I am involved in, just take a look through our blogs to see how much we have done on any number of fronts over a wide area of our Country. This cause as never been an hobby for us or a casual one when it suits but it is day to day not just blogging but out in the field on Poster Campaigns and Protests whilst Sian also busies away on producing YT films and me archiving for Patriotic Posterity to make sure our Comrades and their Struggles are not forgotten. Have I got news for many of this ilk, you are being informed on by true patriotic compatriots and the chief rat who likes to tell Patriots that I am ''Not To Be Trusted', you can run now but not hide as your days are numbered mush! The Last Word from me on the Olympics, Team G.B. and all that, the last night Concert was rubbish with no Celtic Groups and a Welsh Choir and Welsh Ladies in Lady Llanover 'Welsh Costumes'. I hear back in the 'Old Country' the Welsh Media and Pundits have not had enough of grovelling and bulling it all up with no criticism. Whilst in London there is plenty of criticism for a showcase on Brit Celebs in pop and fashion better known for taking drugs, hanging around toilets, taking blood diamonds and making obscene calls to Grandfathers about their grand daughters. Meanwhile, most of the 'Big Star' Athletes were with lucrative Advertizing contracts were out dining with their Corporate commercial sponsors rather than celebrating with their fans. I got to admit, I was keen on the Olympics Gymnastics, Cycling also Track and Field. Was very happy to see the young girls and women do well, the smiles of so many won me over to many and much that was good about the Olympics. Favourites, Bolt and Mo and Fred Evans, Jessica Ennis, Laura Trott and Jade Jones. So, what for Wales now, lets make it into a 'Cymreag' SPARTA!!! Fortget the Arts and farts stuff, we want Spartans, I cannot join in got a bad knee, serious!
