GOOD BYE TO THE SIXTIES AND ALL THAT: Farewell Old Comrades and Freinds.

.
Goodbye in sense that I shall no longer be 'obsessed' with remembering it, nor 'obsessed' about Investitures and all that ''Sixties Stuff''. Cilmeri's 'Sacred Acre' is no field of dreams that's for sure. But all the same I hope other patriots, former Pobl Cofiwn and Cyfamodwyr in particular will remember annually there their Old Freinds and Comrades. Noting what I initiated there this year's end regards the below Adfywiadwyr Gwladgarol for most part of that ''Sixties'' Adfywiadiad Gwladgarol. Of course this does not exclude in future tributes also to Plaid and Cultural Nationalists, nor those who insist on calling themselves ''Welsh Republicans'' or even ''Welsh Socialists''. How you go about this may be seen over on my Adfywiad Cilmeri - Adfywiad Cymru and other blogs. inc of course the Cofiwn Archive blog.
.
ALLWAYS REMEMBERED
.
.
NEVER FORGOTTEN.
.
But the times they are a changing and it's time to move on - move south and move left, to put People before Princes. See this and other blogs in the new year 2010 anniversary year of the great Cambrian Lockout 1910 - 11, it's now time to remember Tonypandy 1910 and come face to face with some really challenging Welsh History when Welsh Miner came up against Welsh Capitalists supported by the English Government, Soldiers and Police. Time to face some home truths!!! Keep in mind that the following year I will be remembering the Llanelli Riots as well as Investiture 1911 but not obsessivelly so.
.
But first off, to break your nationalist mindset and move it into a leftward direction, i suggest you read up on the Llywelyn Bren Revolt 1315 - 16, see link >>>I'R GAD: Welsh Medieval Battlefields Campaign.: The Revolt of ... - 13:58 5 Jan 2008 ... The Southern troubles 1314 – 1318: Introduction to the 1315 Llywelyn Bren Rebellion. See also my other post on a Welsh St Valentines Day ...brwydr.blogspot.com/.../revolt-of-llywelyn-bren-1316.html - Cached - Similar . Our last great Welsh Revolt also very much a popular Rebellion before the Great War of National Liberation led by Owain Glyndwr with a largely Peasant Army. Please note all you ''Hwntws'' so quick to annually run up to Cilmeri to remember a Prince of Gwynedd, I hope this year you will be as quick in getting to Caerfilli on 28 Ionawr and/or Ystrad Felte on 18 Mawrth. This will be the last bit of medieval period activity on my part for at least two years, as I quickly want to move on to the Land Wars of the 16th Century, to popular protest prior to Rebecca and then by the summer be dealing with the Scotch Cattle. Most of this work will be over in my RED REMEMBRANCER and THE WELSH PATRIOT blogs, noting that this WR and my Adfywiad Gwladgarol blog will be very dormant for two or so years, the latter blog will in due course probably close down to be replaced by an ADFYWIAD GOCH blog.

THINKING OUTSIDE THE BOX is not something Welsh Nationalists are noted for, but maybe? who knows? anything is possible!

.
An interesting item sent around by alunindyfed, worth a wider nationalist readership. I shall reserve my comments, appraisals and views to the new year but mean while I will leave others to chew on the below:

.
A Christmas Gift to All our Loyal and Committed Readers. Merry Christmas and a Different New Year! "Think different. Think Plaid." However, thinking different requires a very different approach to memory, attitude and thought. It requires mental resilience, percipience and flexibility.
.
Here are some simple guidelines:
.
1) Do not take the status quo (things as they are) for granted. 2) Do not believe you are powerless to affect change. 3) Do not be afraid to be controversial. 4) Do not become nostalgic for the past and former tradition. 5) Do not be brainwashed by the authority of government or the media. 6) Do not accept others' findings or beliefs as gospel. 7) Do not pay attention to scaremongering tactics. 8) Do not listen to those who say something is impossible. 9) Do not accept the view that change will take years to achieve. 10) Do not be held back be skeptics, cynics or doom-sayers. 11) Think creatively and intelligently and be open to all possibilities. 12) Be prepared to act on your opinions and question everything. 13) Hold fast to your principles and do not be diverted. `14) Act according to the situation that currently exists. 15) Be always positive about the outcome of your aspirations. 16) Be realistic about the obstacles blocking your way and forces of opposition. 17) Spread the word wherever you are even when it is disregarded. 18) Remain firm in your convictions and work steadily for the desired result. 19) Stay focused on the matter in hand from moment to moment. 20) Acquire an attitude of quiet confidence in the rightness of your actions.
.
Seek allies but do not trust anyone until you are sure that they are not infiltrators or backsliders. Not everybody is as devoted to the cause as you are and may have a different agenda from your own with British politics gearing up to a major election in the Spring there is a real opportunity to make a difference which will fundamentally change the face and direction of politics in the nations of Britain.Predictions: The Conservatives (a Unionist party) will capture most of the seats in England, but will make less headway in the nations to the north and west. Scotland will send more SNP members to Westminster.Plaid Cymru has a unique opportunity to break Labour's hold on the Welsh valleys once and for all.The Liberal Democrats will be squeezed by the polarisaing forces of Labour and Conservatives and will make vitually no headway anywhere in Britain. UKIP will gain support from those opposed to loss of sovereignty to Europe. The BNP will benefit from the government's disasterous immigration policies.

REMEMBER! REMEMBER 11 DECEMBER 1282 CILMERI COMMEMORATION 2009: Setting the Scene at Cilmeri Cenotaph Saturday 12 - 12 - 2009.

.
. I use as heading Remember! Remember 1282, as it appears that whilst S4C remembered with a special feature on Llys Rhosyr and 1282 commemorations in Gwynedd also remembering Cilmeri, other media did not as far as I know bother to mention this important date in our history. Although, there was a phone in D&D on Radio BBC Wales re use of political violence which raised up issue of Meibion Glyndwr and the 'Arson War' against second homes. It seems they were prompted in to this radical turn towards dinner time radio talk because they became aware that the MG campaign against ''White Settlers'' buying up cottages in rural Cymru and thus endangering the native language began 30 years back on 11 December 1979, the first arson attack being in area of Nefyn, that also being quite symbolic given association of that location with Edward I's celebration of conquest at Nefyn in 1283 (see Edward's Field via Google search).
.
.However, my main reason for the Remember! Remember! has more to do with the teaching of Welsh History in Schools, I asked around and it appears that few children of family and friends had been taught anything at School last week on 11 Ragfyr 1282, but have this year got a lot about Queen Victoria, WWI & WWII. This is not only a case of deliberate censorship or bias but also because hard pressed teachers are taking their lead regards easy ways to teaching history, is via the History Channel or BBC history Magazines etc. Of course Welsh History hardly, if at all gets much mention in these areas. However, I believe the situation is much better in Ysgolion Cymraeg, nevertheless I consider it an absolute 'uno numero' issue for patriots to take more interest in what our children are being taught and if not enough Welsh History then do something about it asap.
.
.After all note if Black History Month and Holocaust Memorial Day etc (perfectly ok with me) are taught in our schools why are they not remembering Dydd Llywelyn 11 Rhagfyr 1282 and Dydd Glyndwr 16 Medi 1400. Now do not just think about this important issue but start doing something about it, not least support the coming campaign for a Welsh History Day/Month on which more information will become available early in 2010. That I guess is probably my most important end of year message to patriots and other Welsh History enthusiasts, although do note other important issues I shall briefly mention below in this post for most part foto feature introduction to the Cilmeri Commemoration 2009.
.
.My main purpose for visiting Cilmeri Cenotaph this year has already been stated in previous blog posts but, I will briefly remind. First and foremost it was to make tribute to old comrades and fellow 'Adfywiadwyr Gwladgarol' Glyn Rowlands who passed away this year, also at same time make my final salute to my other PF/FWA Anti - Investiture Radical Campaigners imprisoned in 1969 who since then have also passed away. Not least to also make tribute to many 1960's old comrades of the 'Adfywiad Gwladgaol' and make tribute to the many former fellow patriots who have passed away since 1969 to our present times.
.
..In this photo below it looks as if I am taking salute before a white flag and at last surrendering but not quite. Although, I did make it clear in my later tribute that I was only wearing this FWA uniform as tribute to my Old Comrades so badly treated by John Humphries in his book Freedom Fighters, Wales's' Forgotten War. I shall not be wearing this uniform again, I shall put it away for good, as I also set aside and bury notions of armed struggle in any Welsh Cause, and certainly not for 'Crachach & Country'. All that ''Sixties Militant Stuff'' is over, leave it in the ''Sixties'' but of course do not forget, remember well the struggle of our Adfywiadwyr Gwladgarol. However, making a rather pretty pontless cult of it all with such as FWA Appreciation Society and Meibion Glyndwr face books etc, are you serious? wake up! STOP DOING THE WORK OF MI5 WELSH BRANCH - 12 Operatives based in Caerdydd and most off them would by now be Cymraeg Speakers too no doubt. So, if your genuine Nationalists, wise up or grow up or maybe such are MI5 'Sting Sites', so best not to click on to them ok!
. .
CILMERI CENOTAPH 12 Ragfyr 2009: Setting the Scene. Got to Cilmeri (from London) via Abertawe about 10: 00 am, much earlier than I expected so had plenty of time to set up my patriotic Installations remembering Llywelyn III and all those who died fighting during the war of 1282 - 83 or were imprisoned and executed in the following years.
...
.Note in particular the red crosses, and why they were placed, to remember these more often as not forgotten dead warriors of 1282, please continue this tradition at Cilmeri Commemoration and at the Abaty Cwm Hir service held on day after.
. .
Below were also placed at the cenotaph to indicate the important locations in central Cymru associated with the last days of Llywelyn III 10, 11 & 12 Ragfyr 1282 (according to Anthony Edwards version of events). I did not attend the main Cilmeri Commemoration as I had to then take these items below away and place them in those important Hanes 1282 locations with need to more publicise the truthful account of the murder of Llywelyn III and 'The 18' of his household Royal Guard. This being associated also with providing information not only on a Cofia 1282 Trail but also to be associated with other Medieval Wales Initiatives. For further information go see my blog: URDD BRENHINOL CYMRU.
. ..
REMEMBERING OUR OWN PATRIOTIC DEAD. I set up this Patriotic Installation feeling it very important to continue the work of Denis Coslett regards remembering our own present times patriots with his annual reading at the Cilmeri Cenotaph of a Patriots Roll Call. This had been abandoned in recent years following on the passing away of Denis, I hope this year to have relaunched this aspect of the annual Cilmeri Commemoration but, others and future Rali Cilmeri organisers and participants will have to be responsible for such, not I!

.
.
.. Further placed in area of Cilmeri Centoaph were items I had used, or was about to use in my I'r Gad Welsh Battlefield Campaign. Has WAG, Cadw & Co have conceded to a Welsh Battlefield Register I have no need to continue this campaign, as it does appear all are 'singing from the same hymn sheet' as RCAHMW plus the O.S. However, keep an eye on this issue, I very much doubt if they will renege but they might just put on the back burner and not give priority attention to. Maybe, they just might forget? so stay on their case OK and if no real movement then some radical patriots out there might just have to relaunch my radical campaigning but not I! For further info see my I'r Gad WBfC blog.
.
. .

One campaign that should continue is to continuously challenge the English Crown regards Welsh National Sovereignty, this really is one issue patriots must become obsessed with and further obsessed regards radically campaigning against the English Crown over lording Wales in numerous way as their Royal Visits, Hospitals and such named after them, not least campaign for all those plaques set up in their honour to be removed one day and dumped in some park to remind of our colonial past.

.
. .Via web see what India did with it's 'White Raj' stuff, Baltic States have done re Stalin stuff and what Spain is doing with Franco stuff and the USA's 'New South' is contemplating re much 'Old South' stuff. If they can do it, why not we patriotic Welsh hope and live the dream of one day dumping monuments and memorials to our Conquest and Colonial subjection. Yes! and as a radical, I say ditch that Tudor Dragon and Anglican Cross of Saint David flags, plus the leeks and the daffodils, radical patriots want to be very careful about associating themselves with the 'Brit' iconography of Taffydom and that includes 'Cymric Cilt' Tartan Taffery claptrap.
..
Much maybe the impossible dream but there is one dream that can be made reality, if patriots have the guts for it. That is to protest not petition against any more Investitures of English Princes of Wales in Caernarfon. Not least annually make stand (& sit) at Gate of Caernarfon Castle on and about 1st July, personally I think any really radical patriot worth their salt would do this and, certainly those who regularly attend Rali Cilmeri but have or never intend to make such commitment at least once in their lives, but regularly Dewi Day Parade in Caerdydd - is an hypocrit or just very shallow in their patriotism. For this is one day and one time you can really make a stand (or sit?) for our National Sovereignty over and above the claim of the English Crown to have English Sovereignty over our Country, Communities and People.
.
. .Balchder Cymru made such a stand this year, they have shown their courage of conviction and commitment, so! when will you? Not I! I have made my stand thrice in above connections, give us a break, time some others took over but I doubt if it will be the 'Cambrianista' Petitioners and their fellow traveller 'Good Ole Boys'. By way drop Henry Jones Davies (prospecftive Plaid Cymru Preseli BGE Candidate), founder of Cambria Mag and ask him if he's going to present his 'No English PoW' petition to Carlo next time he's at home, quite close to Nantgaredig, GHQ of the 'Cambrianistas'. That would be really terific to see occurring, tidy!
....
..Whatever, it's up to you? you maybe? some one? other than all this, I also consider it to be pretty hypocritical for 'Hwntw' patriots to keep turning up at Cilmeri and falling all over this 'Gogcentric' history without ever remembering Llywelyn Bren. Yes! a great southern hero who led the last Welsh revolt against the Anglo - Normans 1315-16 but whom most Welsh Patriots ignore and most tragically so too Southerners who call themselves Patriots? C'mon in 2010 time 'Hwntws' did something in this direction, two events worth considering a parade from Tommy Cooper statue to Gate of Castell Caerffili to mark start of the Revolt, then a field trip to location of his surrender near Ystrad Fellte. For further and fuller info do search on web and my posts on this history should appear in web menu. Last but not least I urge 'Hwntw's' to pay attention to need for a MORGANNWG (& Gwent) MEDIEVAL INITIATIVE in connection with Cadw's E.U. Heritage Tourism Project. See my Urdd Brenhinol Cymru Blog.
.
Picture opposite shows the Stag of the South and Wolf of the North flags placed before the present day Patriotic Tribute Installation at Cilmeri Cenotaph. Final foto below, is myself where upon following my above tributes and calls to radical 'Adfywiadwyr Gwladgarol' action, I have a rant regards my latest obsession, a LAND & LIBERTY Campaign. In this foto I am pointing to the Elan Valley where to build the dams there a great number of Welsh people were thrown off their land, but this issue is not just about Cofia Dreweryn and all that! For further info on Land & Liberty Campaign in development, go see my WELSH PATRIOT Blog
.
.
. .After all that, I can say ta! ta! Cilmeri for a while, though I may return for Commemorations 2011 - 100th Anniversary of imposition of Investiture in Caernarfon in 1911 and 2014 - 45th Anniversary of 1969 the second imposition of an Investiture in Caernarfon. The whole point of such Cilmeri Commemorations being about countering pro - Investiture propaganda in the media in 2011 and 2014, these Cilmeri events in association with Mass Patriotic Mobalisations in Caernarfon on or about 1 July in the same years. It goes without saying it's all part of the same patriotic protest package for 2011 and 2014, but who will be up for it, more important whom will organise?
.
. Although over coming years 2010 - 2011, for the most part I am 'Going Left' (see my Red Remembrancer blog) and focusing a lot of attention on Tonypandy 1910 and Llaneli 1911.
.
.Between 2011 - 2014 I have a few books to write, the one being Adfywiadwr Gwladgarol (somewhat a Foot Soldiers Story) re the 'Sixties' Adfywiad Gwladgarol plus some kind of publication out of my AWNM&S Hist Archive. Followed by publication of another book Welsh Remembrancer this will cover the Cofiwn years to Ty Cenedl and remembrancer work since and, possibly some other 'spin off' publications related to much aforementioned and regards all this blogging stuff I have been doing. Whatever, hope to finish all this patriotic/political stuff by 2014/15 the latest, as I really want to end my days taking it easier and maybe working in more enjoyable areas of my creative blogs: Assyran Rod - Alternate History, Aerfen - S&S Fantasy plus last but not least Tan y Bont - Gothic Horror.
.
I am now taking a Winter break, be back by Imbolc - 1st Feb ok! Have a good coming festive season. Do note, there are other Cilmeri Commemoration 2009 Foto Features on all, or will be sooner as later on all the above mentioned blogs and of course on the Adfywiad Cilmeri Archive also Cofiwn Archive blogs.

PS: Many of my political blogs will be coming down btween 2010 - 11, possibly starting with the Adfywiad Gwladgarol blog by Spring 2010, so if you have not had a complete look thru that blog, better start doing so after Xmas maybe?

IS IT TO BE THE POPPY or THE IVY or maybe both? A GREAT DEBATE for DYDD LLYWELYN 11 Ragfyr 1282 - 2009.

. .
So what's it to be, the Poppy or the Ivy or Both? One for your forums and to D&D at work or where ever tomorrow and on Friday not least at Tafarn Llywelyn, Cilmeri this Saturday. Other than that promote the wearing of the Ivy tomorrow up to Saturday via Emails, Twitter and Text plus of course on face book and in your blogs etc? Not least bombard the Welsh Media to remind them that Friday is Dydd Llywelyn, request they wear the Ivy as they wear the Poppy on 11 November each year. Not least request our 'Welsh Celebs' wear the Ivy and really show how patriotic they are, never mind Shakespeare's ''Welsh Leek'' and the Lloyd George Investiture 1911 Daffodil.
.
.
WEAR THE IVY WITH GREAT PATRIOTIC PRIDE -
COFIA 11 Ragfyr 1282
.
He's complaining about too many Poppies being worn on and around 11 November, if only there was half as much Ivy being worn on just the one day - 11 December annually. Personally, I consider it alright to wear both, as for why I have explained that in a previous post.
.

.
Tut! tut! tut! Cofia 11 Ragfyr 1282 organisers forget to call for wearing of the Ivy?
.
....and the last word is to remind you that your stuck with not one but two English Princes of Wales, how does that grab you?
.

RALI CILMERI 2009: A Tribute To The Lone Wolf of Corris. Patriot Glyn Rowlands RIP.

.
.
I have spent most of my adult life infatuated with Welsh Medieval History and as an enthusiast have laboured away for years on medieval themes and initiatives as commemorations and memorials. This interest kicked off with the Patriotic Front making of Cilmeri Cenotaph a political platform, in particular from which to campaign against the 1969 Investiture of an Englishman as Prince of Wales (see my Alternative Welsh Nationalist Movement & Struggle Archive blog also my Cofiwn Archive blog). This 'Medievalism' is coming to a conclusion as I set sight on 2014 as my patriotic retirement year and with 2011 as deadline for finishing off any outstanding medieval Wales Initiatives and projects (see my blogs Urdd Brenhinol Cymru and I'r Gad Welsh Battlefields Campaign), such includes much related to 1282 and all that by 2011.
.

.
Rali Cilmeri, I had given up interest in following death of Toni Lewis and only returned to the 'Sacred Acre' to pay tribute to Toni's memory. it is now necessary for me to return this year to, all too sadly make similar tribute to Glyn Rowlands. The wolves illustrating this post are also in tribute to compatriot Glyn Rowlands known widely as the Lone Wolf of Corris, the tribute to be made will include the rising up of an heraldic Lone Wolf flag, this I have already made for the occasion as shown in foto at top of post. I shall be making this personal tribute at 12: 00 noon on Saturday 12 December 2009 prior to any other Patriotic gathering, or commemorationthat may be organised that afternoon which I shall not be attending.
.

.
The last patriotic political act that Glyn carried out this year was to be interviewed at Caernarfon Castle for a TV documentary on the 1969 Investiture. Glyn as a true Adfywiadwr Gwladgarol had remained radically in Resistance to Investitures of English Princes of Wales and stated so in this interview. It would be thus appropriate for Patriots to be mindful of this and themselves express in their speeches at Rali Cilmeri 2009 a reaffirmation of belief that it is better for patriots not to petition passively but to radically continue to protest against the holding of a third Investiture in Caernarfon.
.
Now that Aberedw is being more and more accepted as the true historical site where Llywelyn III was killed, I have no problem with the Cilmeri Cenotaph continuing being more the political platform whilst Aberedw and Abaty Cwm Hir focuses on historical commemoration. Although I consider Cilmeri's 'Sacred Acre' to have become somewhat a failed 'Field of Dreams' as far as retaining any resemblance of continuing radical nationalist Resistance to English Royalty and princes and their Caernarfon Investitures. That is as long as the mediocre and moderate minded confused patriots meander there annually to no good purpose, other than distract attention away from getting off the fence and preparing patriots to arise in struggle against Investiture III. But who will be left to do this, now that those with guts are fading away, yes indeed! who? Not me that's for sure, after this year I have reached my 'End Game' re this English Princes business, that really should be of priority concern as an issue to Gwladgarwyr Gwynedd and not Southerners.
.

.
We shall soon see, if there is any fight left in 'Y Cilmeriaid', or has everyone become a fence sitter or run away farcical Republican Renegade? We shall see if Rali Cilmeri 2009 manages to turn matters around and attempts to awake and rise up patriots who seem to have 'lost the plot' to protest not petition against any third Investiture of an Englishman as Prince of Wales.
.

.
Gruffydd Gethin.
