SPORTS POST: C'MON CARDIFF: You Can Do It!

HOW COULD I NOT HAVE A SPORTS PAGE: But first the Cymric Consciousness or call it Patriotic Politics if you wish, but all this WRU Grand Slam stuff, thank the Gods I was away for much of the period of ''National Hysteria''. However, plenty have told me about it, the ''Mass Euphoria'' that gripped the nation over winning the recent Six Nation's Internationals, also have been sent plenty of news cuttings on the subject. All got a bit sad really, but even sadder having seen all those bloody WRU Three Feather T-Shirts all over the place, it was a nightmare wandering around shops in Cardiff and seeing them everywhere, even M&S produced some. SIGH!!!!! Anyway, see below, my solution, an idea for a much better patriotic Grand Slam T - Shirt design. You can do this yourself on a PC or take to your local T-Shirt Print shop ok. No need for commercial concerns to rip off and make a profit when you can do it cheaper yourself. Although if some one does want to run the idea off an an huge scale, say for the Eisteddfod, then at least acknowledge where you got the idea from and I suggest you make a donation to Embassy Glyndwr which is doing great for Achos Glyndwr, and mostly out of their own staff's pockets. NO APPEALS TO PATRIOTS OR ASSEMBLY GRANTS!

I am told that there has been some debate regards, if Cardiff Football Club in the fourthcoming Cup Final should be supported as if they were ''Team Wales'', so to speak. Of course neither Swansea or Wrexham Clubs were keen on the idea, though would support Cardiff over Portsmouth on 17 May 2008. Despite what I said at top of post, I am of course as much ''over the moon'' that Wales Rugby had a grand slam but I am far from hysterical about it, as unfortunatly as Glyndwrs Victories, victory does not last. However, there have been calls for the team to be officially commemorated, and if local communities wish to name streets or put up plaques, even statues in time that's ok with me. As for Welsh Stars of TV & Screen getting Statues, as was suggested in the Western Mails recent TV Supplement in a feature on Dr Who and Torchward in relation to Welsh Baftas. I SAY FORGET IT! what on earth do they deserve medals for, acting and getting well paid for it? which brings me to this VALLEYWOOD catastrophe! Maybe turn that into a kind of WELSH TV & SCREEN THEME PARK, an idea already muted. HHHhhhmmm!!! but would anyone go? Serious, I do not see why not, think something could be made of that idea.
