Just two more posts today, this one and one over at I'r Gad Welsh Battlefield Campaign at http://brwydr.blogspot.com/ Have been doing some research on World wide preservation but also as important promotion of Military History in general and Battlefields in particulur. This includes. as related to the present public domain of Liesiure and Tourism, and guess what, no it will not suprise you, but Wales is noticably lacking to say the least.

In fact compared to other Celtic Countries, Europe and America Wales in these areas stands out as really, really GUTLESS! Why? well you will find out over at aforementioned blog, believe me it makes me angry enough to say, that if I was younger and had more time, plus I was better positioned, I would really consider ressurrecting Cofiwn * and putting the BATTLE into I'r Gad! However, apart from anything else, these are not the times to talk of such ways and means of taking on the ''Powers that Be'' supposedly responsible for our history. These ''Powers that Be'' in reality are activelly engaged in still perpetuating Historical Amnesia and Cerebal Colonialism amongst our people. So, give it a day or two then visit I'r GAD blog.
.
* It is possibly the case anyway that Cofiwn's day had come and gone, and it is now a time and day for younger radical patriots to take up the challenge of Cymric Consciousness Campaigning which I suggest would be of more practical purpose than perpetuating ''Retro Romantic Republicanism'' that seems still to foolishly engage a number of knee jerking would be ''super patriots''. Face it fellas, you have had your chances, not least on Dydd Dewi 2008 in Caerdydd, on steps of the ASSEMBLY OF APPEASEMENT WITH ENGLISH IMPERIALISM. You were just not up to the challenge, so get REAL NOT RETRO ROMANTIC REPUBLICAN, Unless of course your going to suprise us all and walk the walk and not talk the talk? I mean something as simple as Protesting and Demonstration Campaigns against the English Monarchy when ever they visit Wales, not I add these foolish notions some RRR's have of establishing a Welsh Republican Army (I've seen this silly stuff on the web, just got to be Cardiff MI5 HQ boys up to ''sting sites'' ploys, by way remember one and all be careful with on line forums and petitions, it's all part of the entrapment game and name collecting, so take care, be sure such are genuine forums and petitions ok!). I am sure many RRR's are good patriots and are well intentioned really, but, your Enterprize, Efforts and Endeavours would be better served elsewhere, and if your not sure what do? do, read Cofiwn Archive Blog at http://cofiwn.blogspot.com/ plus keep eye on my new developing blog: YMGYRCH TREFTADAETH at http://ymgyrchtreftadaeth.blogspot.com/
.
OR, sit back and have a good Summer Read, I have suggested 10 books for some good patriotic reading (Listed are eight Factual and two Fictional) to prompt Patriotic thinking, and stirr the Patriotic Juice, see below:
.

.No reviews, I've not read them yet, but I must point out that, see: in Rebels, Pretenders and Imposters, C 5 The Nation as Pretender and in The Gothic, the essay Abjection, Nationalism and the Gothic by Robert Miles p47. Happy reading, switch off the TV and forget the web, bunch up the pillow, put up the deck chair or flop down on a blanket in a park. JUST TAKE A BIT OF A BREAK FROM BLOGGING AS I AM ABOUT TO DO, will get back to a bit of blogging about Mid May, then another break to get over to the Paris Commune Commemoration, see RED REMEMBRANCER at http://redremembrancer.blogspot.com/ . When I get back I will post a report on this blog, maybe see you for real, either on 21 Mehefin in Machynlleth, if SOFRANIAETH (http://sofraniaeth.blogspot.com/) becomes a reality? OR maybe we will meet up at the annual Pwca Power (http://pwcapower.blogspot.com) Picnic at Pentre Ifan on St John's Day 24 June, see > Midsummer - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia It takes place on June 24, on Midsummer day (St John's day). ... The actual Midsummer, St John's day, is celebrated traditionally more in Oporto. ...en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Midsummer - 89k - Cached - Similar pages - Note this
