It has come to my attention that 2009 also marks 200th Anniversary of the death of Dic Penderyn, thus an extra special effort for one and all to attend any and all HIRWAUN/MERTHYR RED WEEK 1831 INSURRECTION COMMEMORATION events this year, see my RED REMEMBRANCER Blog for further information and details.

Further, 2009 marks 400th anniversary of the death of Twm Sion Catti, far too often called the ''Welsh Robin Hood''.
Have not heard of any Twm Sion Catti Festival, so if there is none I suggest a Patriotic 'Welsh Outlaws' Flash Mob Festival at Tregaron, and do dress for the occaision as 14th Centuary 'Adar y Greim', 15 Century 'Gwerin Owain' or 16th Century 'Banditti Cambria'. If you have no idea regards what I am talking about note I will do a further post on subject of 'Welsh Outlaws' ok! But when should there be this ''Flash Mob Event''? hopefully in the Summer.

Another anniversary worthy of note this year, is that of the 600th anniversary of the death of Dr John Dee, he was of Welsh Descent and responsible for 'enlarging on' or ''inventing'' the Madog Myth and the Idea of an English Empire to give Elizabeth I a prior claim to the Spaniards on the ''British'' having discovered America first. This reminds me to bring to the attention of one an all that 2010 also marks the 100th anniversay of the death of Geronimo on 17 February 1910, so plenty of time to plan some commemoration event in Wales, and why not to show some Solidarity with Native American Struggles in our times.

Whilst on subject of notable ''Last Men Standing'' do not forget that 18 Ionawr 1316 marks anniversary of Llywelyn Bren kicking off the last full on Welsh Revolt prior to Owain Glyndwr. There was an almost Welsh Revolt aka ''St Valentines Day Massacre'' partly kicking off on 14 February 1345 in Harlech, but nothing much came off it.

Sad but true nothing much as come of my appeals to Southern Nationalists to organise annual commemorations to remember this great ''Hwntw Hero'' at Caerffili, Ystrad Felte or Cardiff on appropriate dates (For this history see earlier posts). Amazing is it not that ''Hwntws'' can pile up to Cilmeri to remember a ''Gog'' Prince but have no time for Southern Lords and Chiefs who resisted the Anglo - Normans following on their intrusion into Southern Wales in the 1080's up to 1316 on to 1400 Glyndwr War of Independence. I know I am repeating myself but 2009 marks 725th anniversary of the completion of Conquest of Wales, for those who
do not know much of the history of the final years of Gwynedd and Cymric Princes of Wales, or for those who know nothing at all, this book (Cover illustrated opposite) makes valuable reading. Further good read is a new book from Gwas Garreg Gwalch: THE REVOLT OF MADOG AP LLYWELYN 1294 - 5 by Craig Owen Jones, a must buy or a must read from borrowing out of a library. In particular note the bit about hanging the Constable of the Castle from its gateway entrance, a must for an annual commemorative event so well worth remembering symbolically by reenacting this event but with an effigy of course.

I wonder how many of you are aware of what happened to the First English Prince of Wales, you proably know how he met his most awful end. However, how many of you know how he was captured, kind of ''Poetic Justice'' for once. see below. Then think hard on what your going to do between 1 - 4 July 2009 to mark 40th anniversary of Carlo being invested as another English Prince of W
ales on 1 July 1969, then what about an event in connection with EDWARD's FIELD (See earlier posts) re 725th anniversary 1 Awst 1294 - 2009 of his 'Conquest Cymru Celebration' also why not a 'Gwyl Yma o Hyd' at Tafarn Cynan close to the impressive Garn Boduon. This pub is named after the 'Bradwr' who supported the Investiture'69 and partcipated in the 1st July 1969 ceremony in Castell Caernarfon along with another well known Eisteddfod Druid of the day, his name slips me right now. Now I have not become a Christian nor am I out to lead a religious crusade, I am useing the cross painted in the Royal Colours of the High Native Princes of Wales to remind of the Croes Naid and other stolen National Treasures. Plus of course it's a symbol I am using in my I'r Gad Welsh Battlefield Campaign, as I would like this symbol to become a common identifiable iconic marker used to identify all Welsh Battlefields. As for Religion, well I have noted Christian Outrage re Patrick Jones poems and whilst I do not have much time for the butchers of Pagans, Pelagians and not least Cathars (note 2009 Anniversary of 1209 Crusade against Cathars) and of course Jews and Muslims, Native peoples across the world, also not least each other and then there's the ''Witches''. However, Patrick really became a bit of an ''Out Raged Virgin'' in his rather laughable hysteric defence of free speech, f***king ''Free Speech?'' in ''China Cymru?''. I uphold right of any person or group to make non violent protest and to take radical direct action, not least against ''over blown'' pompous Welsh poets and suffocating self styled ''Welsh Intellectuals'' but particularly against 'Y Crachach' plus of course not least ''Empire Loyalists''. I shall enlarge on the matter of so called ''Free Speech'' in due course, as a post in my blog: THE WELSH PATRIOT in due course.

Meanwhile think about it, if you support those who howl about so called ''free speech'' then what we going to do about the next Investiture of an Englishman as Prince of Wales? What! have cosy chats with the English Monarchy or be reduced to 'Cambrianista' petitioning? Paul Edwards of Balchder Cymru has sent out text messages to make patriots aware that the BNP are to possibly ''attack'' a BC Rally in Holt next month. Why the BNP should want to do that I do not know, so check out BC website for further Information on this reality or maybe just a Black Propaganda rumour doing the rounds . Do note the same sort of stuff did the rounds some many years ago, then it was the NF who were going to mix it with the Abergele Commemoration but it all proved to be a false alarm.
