NEWYDDION ADFYWIAD GWLADGAROL'69: Adam's Abergele Martyrs Commemoration - Kicking Up All The Wrong Sort Of Publicity?

Whatever? first the good news, future King 'Carlo' of the English but still Prince of Wales is not coming to Caernarfon for the 40th Anniversary of his Investiture in 1969. Even though invited to do so by the Town's Tame Taffs, it seems Carlo prefers Deheubarth to Gwynedd, probably had enough of 'Gogs' in 1969?.

It would be very vain of me to say my Anti - Carlo blog posts put him off, but I bet they were more likely to do so than the 'Cambrianistas' pathetic petitioning which has been nought but a distraction from radical patriotic protest.

But then this is so typical of the Pied Piper ''patriotism'' of that 'Cambria Crowd', and this time it's paid off big time for founder and former editor of Cambria Magazine, he has been made a member of the Gorsedd of the Eisteddfod. Did I hear someone say why? it seems because he's a ''Committed Nationalist'', well knock me down with a 'Rubber Trunchoen! Makes me think it's a reward for distracting ''trouble'' away from Caernarfon as CIG did so well in 1969. For JC sake, if he's a ''Committed Nationalist'' what does that make Owen Williams and John Jenkins MAC Leaders, apart from being foolishly unwise getting involved with Adam's Abergele Commemoration, a very unwise move on their behalf!

IF THIS GUY IS SO COMMITTED A NATIONALIST, LET'S SEEM HIM STANDING AT THE GATE OF CAERNARFON CASTLE AT 3:00 PM ON 1 JULY 2009 ALONG SIDE HIS ''CAMBRIANISTA CRONIES'', Y CRACHACHACH and failed CYFAMODWYR and possibly 'Rali Cilmeri Good Ole Boy Cream Crackers'. Somehow, I do not think any of the aforementioned will be an 100 miles near Caernarfon on 1 July 2009, sadly it looks as if Adam BC and his handful of ''Barrio Warriors'' will have to 'Stand in the Gap' themselves!

That is if they are all still in one piece after tomorrows Abergele Commemoration, as it sure looks as if trouble is being stirred up in advance to possible see Welsh and Irish Republican Patriots being given short shrift by the ''Brit'' Sympathising locals. Although Adam has attempted to pacify hostility be stating that the commemoration will not attend the grave of George Taylor at request of his daughter. Whatever, there looks to be plenty of Bobbies going to be present to keep order and pounce on any trouble makers who might want to disrupt the commemoration. Plus of course MI5/SB to take loads of fotos and their lackies, to note ask who is taking the fotos and ask what are they to be used for.

I did warn in previous posts that an Abergele Commemoration 2009 was not the wisest of moves for verity of reasons, and obviously one can add to such reasoning, the fact that the ''Brits'' will jump at the opportunity to blacken everything to do with any Abergele commemoration, see Western Mail report 26/06/09. Far better, if one had played the Abergele Commemoration low key but still motivated massive individual attention through July. Then instead given Caernarfon on 1 July 2009 the greatest attention regards demonstration against possibilty of any Investiture. So to my mind, if carrying off a successful demonstration there, then that would have done more to honour memory of the Abergele Martyrs, than what may turn out to be a propaganda coup for the ''Brits''.

But Adam does like his Parades, Posing and Posturing Patriotism regards the struggles of long ago, I do not want to condemn him and they for this, at least he and BC does do remember previous contemporary struggles. However, it really is time now Adam and the BC boyos become true ''Barrio Warriors'' which he has indicated at last that they are moving in such direction by holding their own protest picket at the Gate of Caernarfon Castle on 1 July 2009.

I hope this to be the reality for Adam's and the BC boyos sake, as otherwise Adam's adventures in Welsh Retro Republican world surely would have reached it's sell by date? Perhaps perversely, I wish Adam & BC the best for tomorrow in Abergele and in Caernarfon on Wednesday, as when push comes to shove, at end of Day Adam & BC boyos are perhaps the best we got in the radical nationalism cause at the moment, even though their struggle is more reliving the struggles of 40 years ago rather than creating their own in the present. The 1 July 2009 will provide them with the opportunity to be reborn, ditching the name they have for starters, it being associated with a well known North Wales beer, they may yet 'Seize the Time' and become the 'Adfywiad Gwladgarol' of the future, we shall see soon enough?
