....'Too Nationalist'? according to one 'mean minded' person over at http://tinyurl.com/stdavidsdaymarch or simply WalesOnLine.co.uk do join in the on line debate. My thoughts on the matter, he's got to be joking ''too Nationalist'', my complaint is that it's not Nationalist enough, well a bit more! What ever what 'mean minded' is really moaning about is, what passed off last year as the 'Cambrianistas' long march down to Bae Caerdydd to grovel before the Lord Protestor Dafydd Elis Tomas on steps of the 'Sham Senedd. All in persuence of the political ambitions of right wing Welsh Nationalist Henry Jones Davies, founder of Cambria Magazine and with renegade ''Welsh Republicans''; Westacott, Lockwood and Hinton the gallant 'Knights of St David' behind the annual Dewi Day Parade in Cardiff.

.However, these ambitions now achieved, HJD being now prospective Plaid Cymru Candidate for Preseli in fourth coming BGE 2010 plus well in at the 'Sham Senedd' with DET & Cronies he no longer cares to be the Peid Piper of Welsh Political 'fringe' Patriotism. As this year he appeared to be more the 'Peid Piper of Hamelin' as he and Petersen of the Pony Tail, Welsh Kilt and great big Baneri Dewi led a 'Tsunami 'of Children on a much shorter march this year from Catays Park, down Westgate Street to the Hayes Island for a Cardiff Council day of Dewi Day Cultural Activities. To a great extent this was a much toned down Dewi Day parade, any nationalist pretense was well set aside and indeed there was definatly fewer known Nationalists on this years parade. Maybe they have wised up and are saving themselves for much better patriotic parades with some real nationalist purpose, as marching for Glyndwr in Machynlleth on or about 21 June 'Dydd y Senedd' annually. The truth is that the afore mentioned 'Mean Minded' really meant that last years Dewi Day parade was 'Political' and, politically in favour of Plaid Cymru or as I point out in favour of the political ambitions of HJD.
.
.Whatever, all this aside, personally I think this year the parade organsers got it right. A young persons event with schools greatly envolved, more just patriotic than nationalist obviously to get Cardiff City Council aboard, and holding it in the Hayes Island. I have no complaints there, if that's what it takes to make the event more successful and end the pretense that it is a nationalist event, in early days used to encourage 'Cilmeriaid' to support. This should also satisfy aforementioned 'mean minded' and not least myself and so if organisers keep it that way and stop their pretend nationalism then neither will I be mean minded in future and indeed comment less on this event. But for this post, I just go to have one more dig, so read on >>>

.Bethan Baby! The Barricades are the other way, turn left, go home and read my Red Remembrancer blog and coming shortly the 'left activist' Adfywiad Goch blog. Forget about Dewi Day parading and organise an 1831 Parade in Merthyr also why not march in support of my Land & Liberty Campaign >

What an exciting day, wore me out and, I then had to go on to Abertawe to fotograph the Dewi Day there too, a foto report on which will be posted up on my new blog: CAMPAIGNS CYMRU http://ymgyrch.blogspot.com Calling for 'Dewi Days' & Parades in as many towns as possible through out the land annually as also a WELSH NATIONAL IDENTITY DAY, full info in due course in this blog.

Dr John Davies, Welsh historian of note, not in a Fishermans Jacket which is unusual for he, if he's looking rather bemused and puzzled it's because I 'button holed' him on the Hayes and kept referring to him as Dr 'Books'. He obviously did not recognise me but was happy to pretend he did! >

For now Hwyl!

PS: Petersen and other 'Cambrianistas' have been invited to organise and make themselves available for the second Anti - English Princes of Wales annual Rally at Gate of Caernarfon Castle on or about 1st July. At which HJD & Roberto Hinton will nail that passive petition (yes that one, the disappeared and forgotten one) to the Gate of the Castle as 'renegade Welsh Republicans' Lockwood and Westacott try to gain entry without paying or is that a step too far for these patriot 'Boy Wonders', we shall see! but don't hold your breath? Balchder Cymru are recorded in the great book of Welsh Struggles as organising the first Rally 2009, this year 2010 it may be the 'Cambrianistas'?
.
Next year 1 July 2011 or there abouts maybe all the really 'up for it' Patriotic, maybe a tiny bit 'Nationalist'; Welsh Intellectuals *, Arty Farties and Cultural Nats and Folksy fiddlers et al (Cymric Celebs led by Sharon Morgan?) who will be at the Caernarfon Castle Gate in their grant soaked 1000's? well 100's.....a dozen? We shall see!!! * As Meic Stephens former 'Head Honcho' of Arts Council of Wales and now another 'main man' amongst the 'Cambrianista' Knights of St David. Seen here talking to HJD, about what? nothing really important such as selfless sacrifice to noble causes and such as Welsh Freedom or against English Princes and their Investitures in Caernarfon, not likly boyo?
