Have received following emails from patriots who responded to our appeal and due to their prompt action the sign is to be repaired.
.Dear Sirs,I am happy to note that the pub sign with my father's portrait is to be replaced. What a shame that someone (I hope accidentally) damaged it. The painting was a cheerful and interesting one and I think Cayo would haveapproved; though I did personally think it was not the greatest likeness. If you need a really GOOD signwriter/artist, may I recommend my good friend Geoffrey Wynn of Llanddewi Brefi - contact tel no. 01974 - 298846 , he woulddo a far better job! All the best,Ms. Sian Dalis Cayo-Evans.

Is there a reason why that repairs or replacement have not been carried out ? Soon it will be the 15th Anniversaryof Cayo Evans passing (end of March) do you not feel it would be appropriateto ensure that the correct actions are to be taken place in memory of this great Welshman ? Oh yes and, there's this other email below which kind of proves the point I constantly make about this 'Careerist' GOB (Good Ole Boy) and 'Devolution Dilletante' and latter day 'Cambrianista Crony'...

Re: Cayo Sign Nice work Paul and Dalis and whoever else was involved. Remind the owners that I took the original photo at Penyberth in 1986 and if they want to see the original to copy get in touch with me, the copyright owner. The only thing that spoils an otherwise perfect shot was the horrible caravan in the background - but Cayo was posed, and dressed, perfectly so I had to take it.Who knows it may take on the status of the famous Che image given time!Hwyl, Rhob.
.
No it want, I can think of much better fotos, yours just makes Cayo look some genteel 'jolly farmer' at the Royal Welsh.
.
Comment: now why should we remind the Brewery? we are campaigning for Cayo not 'Castrol'. I guess Roberto would have already made it known in the first place who the copyright owner was and, why does he request you to do it for him now, cannot he do that himself if needs be? For plonkers sake! they are only repairing the sign, give yourself a break 'Castrol' stop pushing so hard, unless it's going to be against the Gate of Caernarfon Castle on 01 - 07 - 2010, yes? My blogs are full of fotos, people take and reuse all the time, I very rarely complain unless some one is 'taking the piss' and pretending their his, for most part I request people if useing fotos just giving credit where credit it is due and for most of the time I do no persue or protest on that matter. So why are you bothering so much boyo? The WM in it's TV supplement the other week used my 'iconic' 1831 Red Flag foto, did I get bothered, no! and I let it pass, fin!
.
Does this mean all the fotos you have been taking since the ''Sixties'', I know you have loads especially of real rebels, not pushovers like you. So are all they copyrighted too and does that mean they are up for sale to fill your pockets? and what about all the film you have taken over the years, not least the video collection of the Cyfamodwyr Years at Rali Cilmeri, yes, the 'Medals for Gobs' Video Collection. That really makes interesting viewing, could have been a good record worth archiving for posterity if it were not for fact that the bits..... where you 'take liberties' pointing your camera at a good patriot, worse for ware in drink and then ask him leading questions. You know what and whom I am on about, you greasy git! Of course, if you feel you have done nothing wrong, why not stick it up on 'YouTube' and lets see you justify it?
.
Better still at Rali Cilmeri 2010 why not show the whole video on a big screen in the village hall or on a lap top in Tafarn Llywelyn, go on let one and all see it. Go on give Cilmeri's ''Rebels'' a big thrill, show em your movie, they' love it! especially the latter day 'Gwr Gododdin' and his 'Young Turk' followers. By way, I was sent a copy of your movie by one of your drinking mates, for archiving at NLW but how could I do that when footage contains the awful part aforementioned and much else which might embarrass some patriots or even expose someone who might not want it shown, especially before the BGE this year? The footage which I find offensive and a betrayal of a comrade who you say is your freind is what concerns me. If you say you are a friend which I doubt greatly, as who would do this to a freind and 'old comrade'. If you want this archived, do so yourself but censor certain bits as aforementioned and no doubt one or two other extracts your mates might be uncompfortable with, especially 'Mr Nice Guy' of Cardiff?
.
Shame, I dare not publically show this film because of your copyright, I would just love to put one little extract on YouTube, the bit where you are screaming ''I' am a Republican, down with all princes''. Just makes me wonder what the hell you have been doing going to Rali Cilmeri for all, these years? often in a wig or dressed in desguise as an Arab or whatever and always taking lots of fotos and film (copyrighted, I guess?). Is it any wonder, I have no desire to return to Rali Cilmeri when creeps like you and Petersen ''Taskers my hero'' run the show, god help the future of any patriotic struggle, I mean real 'Adfywiad Gwladgarol' struggle.
.
Personally, I think that Tafarn Cayo Arms could do with a new sign based on another foto, so if anyone out there got one and are willing to see it used 'Copyright Free' of course do send it to the Brewers telling them they can use it. Oh yes! last but not least be carefull when 'Castrol' points a camera at you, especially at Rali Cilmeri and particularly if you have been drinking too much and your tired and trying to eat while this 'wannabe' documentary film maker wants to ambush you for no particular good reason, unless of course, there is one! like 'BLACK PROPAGANDA'?
.
Gethin.
