WANTED PATRIOTIC WELSH WARRIORS FOR BYDDIN BRENHINOL CYMRU Medieval Welsh History Reenactment Societies..

Do'nt worry nothing to do with protesting! (Well not until end of this post, so just enjoy some completly 'off the wall' stuff!) But plenty of opportunity for Parading, Posing and Posturing, plus lots of 'Fake Fighting' pretending to defend Cymru and liberate land and people from the English 'Conquistadors' and Colonists. Got that! then this should really interest you and if serious about the reality of working for the Cause of Wales. First get the book:

If you are rich enough buy it, but it is rather expensive so go borrow it from your local Library. It really is a very good read and will provide an excellent manual for setting up the Institutions of a Medieval Welsh Royal Army. It will be quite permissible for you to set up such based on ancient Welsh Territorial divisions as Gwledydd, Talaithiau, Cantref and Cymydau. Note that the name 'Byddin Brenhinol Cymru' is an overall name for what will consist of a number of Welsh Medieval Military Institutions as described in book above also noting the period being covered is from 1063 the age of Gruffydd ap Llywelyn to 1294 the age of Llywelyn ap Gruffydd. Such would in time become the national platform and umbrella, for this period. This is not to be confused with 'Cymdeithas Tywysogion' which is an history body whilst 'Byddin Brenhinol Cymru' is a Welsh Medieval Reenactment Initiative. I shall continue this research and post up results over in Urdd Brenhinol Cymru Blog. Re the 'Honour Guard' in first instance simply need to get together enough patriots to at least carry the flags of the five/six major Gwledydd, though it need not stop there. Enough to attend a number of Patriotic National Commemorations in connection with Llywelyn and Glyndwr and other events. However, most important note will need at least 18 'Honour Guard' members for a Prysgduon - Caernarfon event next year. If possible, it would be great to get together 15 plus Patriots involved in this 'Honour Guard' with a display demonstration of the heraldry of the native Princes - Royal Tribes of Wales.

In all there are up to 36 Welsh Heraldic Flags if we include all the associated royal 'tribal family' connections, if we could get 36 'Honour Guard' patriots to carry all these 36 flags that would be one hell of a colourful demonstration perhaps connectecd to a Patriotic Pageant against English Princes of Wales. Apart from the flags 'Honour Guard'members could wear 'Tabards' bearing Shield - 'Coats of Arms' versions of the flags they carry. Do note 'Tabards' are not too difficult to make, on the other hand the flags will take some attempted skill but you can do it if you try, just look at all the flags and Shield Tony Lewis made for Cofiwn, see link >

Myself, I am more interested in the so called 'Dark Ages' in Wales from time the Romans started to leave between 383 AD and 410 AD, at moment I am working on a possible Silurian Reenactment project and a Cunedda project. If you wish to connect with our more ancient past and a revival of true Celtic Druidism not this stuff ripped of by Anglo - American Pagans aka 'Wicca' etc. Nothing wrong in it's correct place but most Pagans use our Celtic Religion because 'Nordic Paganism' is not so 'in' due to Pagan 'Political Correctness', worries that the Nazis were in to all things 'Nordic' and 'Aryan'. In this Pagan Cymru connection keep in mind that Midsummer Solstice 21 Mehefin is getting close, so get yourselves ready for 'Troad y Rhod'.

Start by looking for some 'Sacred Sites' in Wales, particularly mountain tops from where you can greet the dawn of the rising Sun, no need to go all the way to Stonhenge as the
BlueStone' Preseli Mountains
will do. If your in London than there will be no where better place than Primrose Hill from where you may hold your 'Troad y Rhod' ceremonies, I shall focus some more on this over in my PAGANIAID CYMRU blog in run up to the Midsummer Solstice. Of course, if the above is too tame for you and your really so into 'RETRO REPUBLICANISM' and nothing else will do, then I gues 'RETRO REPUBLICANISM' it will be for you. But can we please also have some RADICAL ADFYWIAD ACTION! such as Patriotic Protests. What! did I hear you say ''Protest Against What?''. HHHhhhmmm!!!! How's about against all those Windmills they are going to 'Industrialise' our Northern Sea Scape with as I doubt that the project will employ many locals and of course it will attract to live along the North Wales Coast loads of 'Sais Setllers'. Unless you campaign to ensure local Welsh get jobs, you want to see how Native Americans handle this problem. To make sure their people are no only given the most poorly paid work but on the other hand, personally I am against the 'Wind Milling of Wales' altogether because it's no good for Wales and it's one big 'Rip Off'.
