This is a Celtic Gift Giving Time, over the winter months little time for much farming or war making, instead all snuggled up in their huts the Celts probably did a lot of Love Making and thus at Imbolc as Sheep had loads of lambs, the Celts had babies aplenty. Sounds good to me! The Winter time was also time for making and mending clothes, not least a craft making time. So gather the kids around and this weekend start some craft work, to present as Imbolc Gifts possibly to the Old and Infirm also Children in Hospitals or Orphans. Lets make this a Celtic Day of giving to the needy and under privellaged, now pass this idea on fast so that as many as possible can get down the craft supply shops tomorrow and spend Sunday making Crafted Gifts to make presentations on Imbolc Eve. In Imbolc, a Tuesday this year take a walk in the country side looking for lambs and Snowdrops, noting that it's 'Blodua Brigad' whilst the woven Cross of Saint Bridget might make a perfect gift to make remember you cannot pick wild Snowdrops, they are protected. But you can buy bulbs, so buy bulbs and plant them, in pots at first on Dydd Imbolc and, later in the garden at possibly your own Brigad/Briget Shrine.
