This is being written partly in response to that feature in the Western Mail yesterday (see above) and as a matter discussed on BBC Wales radio phone in programme on subject of the sad pathetic state of 'English Language' programming. Am not fully up on what has been said but have been told the gist of it all and read the WM feature, at last our Welsh 'Media Concernees' have caught up with what I have been saying for years. This year more so in particular with my impatience with the 'ShamelessS4C' Mediacrach lobby and the shameless way BBC West Britain has gone and stuck up this BBC Brit Drama Villiage of 'English Drama Excellence' without so much as a sorry that no EL Wales Interests are at all considered other than the excellent TORCHWOOD. But please we want more and as a measure of BBC Wales commitment to more EL Film/TV productions how about committing to the below. I can guarentee an huge success if they move fast and ride on the back of the huge World Wide interest following the greatly successful Tudors TV series. Plus, some one has done a play on Hugh Owen already, good basis for a quick start on a film also not least we have loads of actors who would be just great for it as Ioan Gruffydd, Mathew Rhys but not least the marvellous Rhys Ifan and many others.Of course including female actresses as Eve Myles, Duffy and even Alex Jones, she can dance so am sure she can act. 'ANONYMOUS' was marvellous because it was in all areas, not least performance of Rhys Ifan. I like the film so much went and seen in twice, do not often do that though also Rise of the Apes got me back a second time. There is so much going on in big fils these days with all the innovativative 'Sepcial Effects', one needs two viewings to take it all in. Think Avatar could be three viewings in time, the only films I have ever got bored with and nodded off in were Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings. that's enough on my film likes or not, lets move on fast.

I had for some time been researching on Hugh Owen for an article, maybe a film treatment. Got as far as a great opening for a film based on a little known fact regards the Gun Powder plot and another very interesting Welsh Connection. However, someone beat me to it with a very good play which I went to see, if anyone should be involved in working on a film it most definatly should be he who wrote this excellent drama as a basis to build on, a film of course could be on a grander scale. In passing on subject of blowing things up my Book of Welsh Dates informs me that the 16 November 1967 is the 44th Anniversary of the MAC blowing up of the 'Temple of Peace' in Cardiff. Marking the opening attack of the MAC campaign against the Investiture of an English Prince of Wales (another one would have been blown up, if the Gunpowder plot had been successful). So, there you go then I hope you found that some what different from the usual stuff I bombard you all with, so other than another tirade on 'ShamelessS4C'. Not sure, we should be burning a Guy Fawkes effigy, so why not one of the Lord Protector Dafydd Elis Thomas 'Renewable Revant in Chief'.
