 Following On From My Artistic Vanity

Myself, I prefer Athletics to Poetry and all that annual Cultural Nationalism Bardic binge in realms of Cymric Anxt and the Agony of being born underprivileged Cymry but not quite as much as the unfortunate for real 'Wretched of the Earth' as the Children of 'White Gold' - 'Dirty Cotton. Of which my recent visit to Liverpool and it's museums amongst many subjects informed on, briefly fore publicized below:

Information about the 'complex supply chain' of cotton which makes it hard for
consumers to know if the cotton products they buy is free from child labour.

When you bag a bargain, do you think about whos paid for it? At its height, up to
26 Indian cotton farmers a day drank pesticides to kill themselves out of the debt ...

Also Cotton Connected Liverpool and the American Civil War, the making of Blockade Runners for the Southern Confederacy were a product of Liverpool Ship Building Industry which as the Lancashire Cotton Industry was sympathetic to the Confederates. Given a Welsh Connection here, I shall do a post over on Hwb Hanes Cymru regards the Alabama Confederate Privateer with Welsh Connections. Have more fotos from the Liverpool Maritime Museum on this subject to post up when I can find the time.

Other Subject of Welsh Interest in the Maritime Museum docks being:

Memorial to the many horses that once worked the docks;

Science and Natural History Museum by which time I was getting information overload and tired feet.

The Cavern - Give that a miss.

Had very little interest in Beatles or any English Music in the 'Sixties' had already been sold on Black Music from Little Richard to Motown, the music and period  depicted in the film:
