Halocaust Day arrives next week on 29 Ionawr, this is a World Wide Commemorative Event and that includes Cymru of course, the only sour thing I have to say here is that from experience of Wales and this e
vent the whole Welsh Establishment from top to bottem will go to town. Quite right too, I have no problem with that but would it not be great to see 'they' put in the same effort Nationally and locally for 11 Rhagfyr 1282 'Dydd Llywelyn' and 16 Medi 'Dydd Glyndwr' also not least 21 Hydref a possible 'WELSH MEMORIAL DAY', the day upon which Tryweryn was opened in 1963 and also the day in 1966 when the Aberfan tip collapsed on the village school killing a great many children and a number of adults too. I have called in the past for this day of 21 Hydref to be annually commemorated, perhaps if I, Cofiwn style just declared it as WELSH MEMORIAL DAY it may get recognised and observed, by Patriots at least, as always with your help so spread the word and back this call for a WELSH MEMORIAL DAY of Commemorative Events and activities throughtout the land annually on 21 Hydref. I shall return to this subject in a future post, possibly in my WELSH PATRIOT blog.

Whatever, it is good to see that within the boundaries of this years Halocaust Memorial Day commemoration other 'Holocausts' are remembered, not least the wars of genoicide against the people of Rwanda, Darfur, Eastern Congo and hopefully the Armenians and Kurds too will be remembered.

It is thus more than coming just right for Israel to have called off it's onslaught on Gaza with Halocaust Memorial day on the horizon, as the heaping on their heads the crime of an Halocaust against Palestinians may have found those who would agree. Myself started seeing comparisons between Gaza with the Warzaw Ghetto. I do not want to enter into an huge debate about all this, as I agree with what Alwyn ap Huw has to say on this matter in his blog 'MISARABLE OLD FART'. While on subject of Middle East and Iraq in particular, I have always been against the Invasion and subsequent war there, even though my sympathise are with the Kurds and recognise that if nothing else there is an almost Independant Kurdistan now but that could have been brought about as was Bosnia with a lot less bloodshed, misery and destruction. Now the west has gone and totally destroyed the worlds first great civilisation, may the Goddess Ishtar never forgive them! Surely all that was required to get rid of Saddam Hussein was to put an huge price on his head, I am sure some of his own Officers Corps, even family members would have bumped him off. A lot cheaper in financial terms than this long never ending war is costing and a lot less innocent lives lost, that's what is called 'Killing No Murder''. As for Afghanistan that's another matters, but I will leave my opinions on that to another time.
