Maybe Cambria Magazine could kick off a petition asap against the English Queen having anything to do with making St David's Day a Bank Holiday in 2012 to celebrate her Diamond Jubilee. On the other hand I guess most tame & tartan taffs would be up for it, after all Dydd Dewi was made a celebrative feast day by Henry V to reward taffies for assisting him at the Battle of Azincourt 1415, taffies did not complain then, so why complain now? Although Bernard Cornwall in his book about Azincourt declares it to have been the most English of victories in which minorities as the Welsh and Gascons played little part, see below quote from this book (I shall also write more on this in I'r Gad blog).

Be bloody awful if she does, this will mean all you Dydd Dewi Day followers of Cambria Magazine will be essentially participating in a celebration of the English Queens Diamond Jubilee. There after, this Welsh Saints Day will ever be pretty much tainted and hard for Nationalist to swallow, especially in what's supposed to be a nationalist founded and participated in, annual post Rali Cilmeri patriotic parade down to the Sham Senedd in old Tiger Bay. All a bit vomit worthy really, I suggest in such case the 2012 Dewi Day parade is cancelled or, make the best of it. if you just got to go and parade in 2012, make sure that there are 100's of 1282 Black Flags being carried and 1282 Arm Bands being worn in a silent as possible parade, it's the least what radical patriots could do under the circumstances. Other than that just ditch the Saint business and go Patriotically Pagan, starting on Feb 1st 'Dydd Brigad' of the Celtic Fire Festival of Imbolc.

Back to that Diamond Jubilee 4 - 5 June 2012, I remember well in 1977 there was much patriotic protesting over the Silver Jubilee but don't remember much patriotic protest over the 2002 Golden Jubilee? So what about 2012? will there be protests or not, I guess that's up to radical patriots.
