WEATHERSPOON WONDERMENT!
Very Sad that Merthyr Weatherspoon were so stupid as they had no excuse as to say they did not know the local history as the pub is well decked out with local history as are all their pubs. This is what a joy it is to visit any local Weatherspoons and I must have visited at least half a dozen to have a pint and get a local history leasson as the example of Merthyr Tudful and Ashford in Kent which I made visit to whilst on a journey to pay tribute to Simone Weil:Opposite is a a dedication to Simone in Ashford Weatherspoon.
These Fotos may baffle you, suffice to say it is ''Cathar Connected'', hence my pilgrimage to a cemetary in Ashford to lay a tribute upon the grave of a ''troubled young women''. Simone Weil, Revolutionary, French Resistance Worker and Philosopher who whilst in exile in England during WWII took her own life by not taking food in the way of the Cathar Endura (Extreme Fasting/Ritual Euthanasia). Although at the time it was reported as a suicide by ''person in a disturbed state of mind '' diagnosed with tuberculosis, it was also reported at the time that she had become depressed by treatment of French P.O.W held by the Germans. Perhaps the truth will never be known but for me Simone seems a person I can sympathise with and hence worthy of a pilgrimage. It's a long walk from Ashford Town centre to the cemetary, many WWII exiles are buried there, many KIA. The fotos show her grave and Road and signs put up in 1993 on 50th Anniversary of her death 24 August 1943. I have been aware of Simone Weil for some years but it was only after I had visited her grave and local Library to see the collection there of material about her life and times, inc time she spent in Ashford that I have come to appreciate her even more..

This year due to my June agenda being filled up with March into the Mountain Initiative etc means I shall be at the Nant yr Arian Occupation on 1st of June. By the 2nd June I must be in Hirwun for a Great Unrest 2012 Group Meeting, then in Merthyr on Morning of 3rd June for activities associated with annual 1831 Commemoration. In the afternnon of the 3rd June I must repair a family grave in local cemetary, on 4th take a break before attending on 5th a Republican Gathering in Bae Caerdydd. Following this, I am off on a 'Paul Revere Ride' kind of thing, off and around Wales to raise up the Red Pitchfork Flag at the Crown Estate Windmill Plantations and on Jubilee Mountain of Moel Famau to rise up a Welsh Republican Flag. I am treating this as an holiday outing as well bit of an excuse to see our wonderful country side and check out how much of it they have stabbed with damn Windmills of Mass Destruction. This also must take in a token 'Camp Glyndwr' on Mynyddoedd Pumlumon before returning South for the Three Day Occupation of Mynydd Y Betws. Yes, quiet epic and maybe something will have to be cancelled as I prioritise and possibly leave out Lys Dymper Windmill Site has I have done that one already. After, that I am taking a long break!
