I am always wondering how come this land of Saints and Llanau, gave up so easy over a 1000 years of Catholicism with out any real rebellion, how was that? After all the other Celtic Countries, inc Kernow had Catholic Rebellions but not Cymru? it seems to me that after the Glyndwr War the Welsh lost militant moral fibre and that's why they fell into the arms of the Tudors and stayed there whilst they parcelled out the land to the English Aristocracy some of whom as the Somerset/Beaufort family hang on to a great deal in Southern Wales as on Mynydd y Gwair out of which they will make more money with sales of land there for a windmill plantation. I do go on about Windmills but of course the reality is that the 'Industrial Windmilling of Wales' by the new 'Conquistadores' aka Windmill Master Robber Barons since the great 'Rape of the Fair Country' during the Industrial Revolution of 18th and 19th Century Wales. In this time Cymru/Wales was to rise and fight back but not led by either the remnants of their old Native Aristocracy or the 'New Native Money' made out of Tudor and Stuart and later Hanovarian rule of Wales but by the people. Sure often led my Non Conformist Dissident Religious Leaders as it was convienient to do so to advance their religious position over the Anglican Church but when it came to the Workers under 'Red Flags' fighting for themselves these 'Religious Leaders' would not be so keen to identify themselves with radical revolutionary workers as in 1831, 35 and 39, those of the of the Pitchfork and Pike:

There were acceptions of course as Niclas y Glais but for the most part Methodist and the like Rligious leaders would melt away from Workers Struggle and arise instead as Cultural Nationalist Champions. For sometime this would suit and be useful to Plaid Cymru and that is why much of Plaid Cymru early radical campaigning had a 'Religious Complexion' as from Epynt to Tryweryn, still half a century harped on about by Plaid Cymru leaders and members whilst all around us are 100's of 'Treyweryns' in form of Windmill Plantations.
I am beginning to wonder if Plaid Cymru is sold on this because OCD (Obsessive Chapel Disorder) now becomes more a case of 'Obsessive Windmill Disorder (OWD)' but still as a religious connotation in so far that Plaid Cymru Cultural Nationalists see Windmills as the symbol of their New 'Pacifist Green Religion'. kind of like Windmills do appear much similar to a crucifix. However, I am not a member of Plaid Cymru so I can aford the luxuary of being super critical from outside looking in, what do I make of this Plaid Cymru leadership race? In first place it's been a long time coming but at least it's not the awful 'Blood Letting' that over took Ireland in the Seventies as traditional Irish Nationalist Republicanism took and emense dislike to the way Sinn Fein had become a Socialist Republican Movement and eventually 'The Workers Party'. For all her 'Left Leanings I cannot see Leanne turn Plaid Cymru into the Workers Party more likly the way things are going it could become Plaid Cymru - 'The Unemployed Peoples Party'. The point is that usually in history of many National Struggles there comes a time when an arising younger radical generation challenges the sitting entrenched tradionalists as in Ireland between IRB Republicans and Parnells Nationalists or in Algeria between an 'Older Cultural Nationalism' and a New Younger Radical Nationalism:
