Rhobert ap Steffan was a keen writter of letters to the papers on Nationalist issues but the last letter I seen of his was published in the Western Mail. This was on the subject of all the British Army bases and soldiers still based in Germany, he had some first hand knowledge of this as his father had been a Chaplin in the British Army. Why indeed is the British Army still occupying Germany, why so many Soldiers based there? After all, I hardly think that they will be needed to launch and attack on Russia or defend the West from Russia? Perhaps, they are there because the European Union wants them there, not least now when the European Empire could come under either a major threat of an internal Muslim Islamist 'Jihad' or indeed the peoples of Europe rise up in major social disorder perhaps a Red Revolution?

Shortly after Rhoberts letter in the WM, another followed from another asking the question that if they with drew all these British Soldiers would they be posted back to Wales? Perhaps requiring much more Welsh Land than present Mynydd Epynt for bases and training ready for a Welsh Revolt or more likly a Red Revolution in Post Industrial British Cities. Whatever, Rhobert's last letter has alerted us to a potential future threat to the English seizing more Welsh Land for their military uses.

Rhobert and I were on opposite sides in the struggle for Cymru/Wales, I as Roy 'Jac' Jones and a few other 'Victims of the Sixties' remained 'Alternative Nationalists' whilst Rhobert remained a 'Plaid Man' and a Political/Cultural Nationalist rather than continuing as a Radical Political Nationalist. I actually fell out with he badly and have not spoken to him for years but nevertheless I am greatly saddened by his death and have been thinking of he in better times as fellow compatriots rather than as partisan comrades of views that placed us in opposite patriotic places. Whatever, both of us would have opposed further British Army occupation of our Country, myself however would not be interested in any reconciliation with the British Army, heirs to the Armies of the Anglo - Norman Armies and their native allies that conquored Cymru/Wales.
