21 MEHEFIN 1404 THE MOST IMPORTANT DATE IN WELSH HISTORY and Do Not Forget It!

..
However, there's 3 Mehefin 1831 and do not go forgetting that either, see my RED REMBERANCER blog, for why? (yes, I have a typical Welsh Nationalist/Republican split personality). Whatever, have received email circular from Embassy Glyndwr, see blow link:

Once you've read it, please pass it on before you rush out to buy your Owain Glyndwr flag to attach to your vehicle, be it car, lorry, bus, motorhome, motorbike, mobility scooter or even pram!

Many Nationalists will remember the great 600th Anniversary Commemoration 2004 to mark occasion of establishing the first Parliament to represent the recently liberated people of Wales. For this reason Embassy Glyndwr declared this mid summer day of the 'Summer Solstice' as 'Dydd y Senedd' others refer to it as 'Dydd y Coroni Glyndwr', the former focuses on the Parliament as reality of a 'Popular Sovereignty' whilst the latter focuses on 'Coron Glyndwr' as a symbol of restored 'National Sovereignty'. Whatever, both are worthy of a national commemoration and celebration in communities throughout the land.

Now after many years of promotion by Embassy Glyndwr, at last thanks to the endeavours of pobl Glyndwr Ardal Machynlleth have organised a fantastic National Glyndwr festival - a true national commemoration which really deserves the full support of as many patriots as possible. Responsibly keeping in mind that this 'Gwyl y Coroni Glyndwr' is an inclusive festival which welcomes one and all to attend and participate in, making it a worthy national event celebrating the great achievement and success of Owain Glyndwr, the Patriotic Welsh Lords and Chiefs and, not least of course the common foot soldier largely liberated Anglo - Norman Tennants, Serfs and Bondmen. Glyndwr's peasant army aka 'Barefoot Welsh Doggis' all of whom in time would become known as the 'Gwerin Owain'.
.
It took they all but fours years to win freedom and Independece of English rule, it's taken Plaid Cymru since 1925 to get as far as a mostly toothless devolved ''Assembly'' that now is truely a tool of English Neo Colonialism in the implementation of English Government demands too seriously damage the economy of Wales. Economic cuts that will cut into tour Nation's social fabric and cause tragic consequence to the people of Wales. In any other English Colonised Country of their once vast Empire, if treated as Wales has been treated since 1282, not least of late, to be sure their people would be called onto the streets in demonstration against continued Imperialist rule. Their Patriotic leaders would have resigned any posts held in 'Colonial Government' and walked out of any 'Colonial Establishment' and offices of Quisling position. To instead lead popular rebellious pariotic protests against foreign rule in a radical patriotic struggle but no, not our failed so called Patriotic Politicians, self styled ''Welsh Intelligencia'' and ''Welsh Intellectuals'. By way whre are the Bards? No! all they are all really concerned about his grovellling status and the grabbing of ''Saxon Silver'' but dare we complain or is it a matter that we get what we deserve? However, you can change all that, not by just commemoration and celebration of Owain Glyndwr and his struggle but by continuation of his strggle, of cousre by non violent means. To start with by waking up and no matter what attempting to 'Seize Back The Time' you have gone and lost! As suggested but up to you - Patriots to affirmatively propose, yes! YOU? YOU? YOU? and YOU? see SOFRANIAETH blog, link below:

.You now as patriots by renewing oath of 'Juratus Oweyn' may become self pro - claimed present day pobl Glyndwr and in these depressing times of diminishing hopes of a referendum, even demising endeavours to struggle for our peoples freedom and national Independence. Now more than ever patriots must arise in this hour of need to show we are not a defeated people and will not 'Sheath Glyndwr's Sword' until Freedom is won, Independence restored and out National Sovereignty secured for ever more.
.
However, all that aside to be practical, for the moment what is most absolutely important is to support the hard work of pobl Glyndwr Ardal Machynlleth and as many patriots as possible make way to Machynlleth - Prif Dinas Owain IV to show in an huge patriotic gathering our appreciation that we have such a worthy national festival at last. Although we should not forget the same thanks goes to the Sleeping Giant Foundation for their holding of a Southern Glyndwr Festival for many years and have been a great inspiration. But where is Corwen, why no Great Glyndwr festival there on and about 16 Medi 'National Hero Day'. C'mon Corwen, look towards Machynlleth and be encouraged to be as Patriotically bold!
.
However, let us not only celebrate our national hero Owain Glyndwr, past, present and future Prince of Wales, but in these post BGE 2010 dark dull days of depressed apathy. Let us make a patriotic statement and show that we are up for rising 'Baneri Glyndwr' all over our Country as we make our way to Machynlleth. Yes! are you really doing anything better, like watching the football World Cup? So! C'mon Cymru make an effort, not least because if you want this Gwyl Glyndwr to continue then in these hard times it is so very the case that you are not only prepared to annually attend but will in future times perhaps creatively participate. Why not make a start this year by turning up dressed in medieval costume, go on do not be embarrassed, just enter into spirit of occaision, see the Embassy Glyndwr blog 'Teyrnas Glyndwr' for some real Medieval living history, not that 'Anglo' stuff you see at Cadw Castle Events.

Of course, the Preseli Mountains Druidic Welcome of the Dawn on Monday 21 June is a good idea, others may Welcome the Dawn on any number of Mountains or 'Sacred Sites'. Like wise, giving Trefgarnne Owain is also a good idea, sure most recognise Sycarth as place of Glyndwr's birth but who knows for sure. I believe Cymdeithas Owen Glyndwr are attempting to memorialise the Southern location and I will not argue the toss with them but welcome such an effort. Hopefully, then and others will support G660 - Glyndwr's birth 1354 - 600th Anniversary National Commemoration 2014 at present being developed by the Glyndwr Commission, further details to be publically informed of, on at 16 Medi 2010 with a call for full patriotic support, cooperation and involvement nationally and locally in a number of ways. This time around let 'Strength in Unity' truthfully be for real!
