    Wales has never had to suffer too many Massacres, if we are to believe historian Anthony Edwards then 'Byddin Llywelyn' following death of their Prince were tricked into laying down their weapons and then surrouned by enemy Soldiers and many killed by arrows fired at them by the large number of fellow countrymen serving the English Army. The worse examples of massacres in Welsh History concerns that which took place in Merthyr Tudful 1831 and Newport in 1839. However, in Tonypandy 1910 one miner died fom wounds recieved in a baton charge by the police whilst during the Llanelli Riots of 1911 two workers were shot by soldiers of the Worcstershire Regiment.
