How can one sleep with all that's going on in the World, I usually am in bed by an hour after midnite and listening to the BBC World Service. It's never too long before I am nodding off in and out of sleep but tonite too much of interest keeping me awake, inc a forum or something at Portmeirion but I only caught the end, it appered to have been a quite heavy discussion on humanity and it's place in the world, if interested catch up on the BBC W.S. link below. Anyway, could not go to sleep so got up made some black coffee and here I am tapping the keys on a post for you to wake up to later in the morning. Do note thay anything I might post up on subjects below represent passing comments on much I am only now learning more about now, and thus is an over view, to interest you in sussing further yourselves. As for the awful calaminty that has hit Japan much is best left to world media to visually present and have comment made on. See BBC and Sky, RT and Al Jazeera plus of course the BBC World Service.

Looks as if it's going to be a fight on the ropes, a seige and hold out as a Madrid and a Stalingrad in the desert or capitulation and collapse of a Popular Rebellion. The consequence of which may be very possibly 1000's of Libyan Boat People landing on the shores of Southern Europe and then what for Libya as Somalia and Pakistan failed states? A quite desperate future of not so much civil war between West and East Libya but protracted multi - ethnic and religious wars of the guerrilla kind, maybe a Muslim Brotherhood Revolt of one kind or the other, and no doubt Taliban Terrorism in time spreading all across Northern Africa. Already the 'Liberal Face' of Arab popular revolt is being made dark as in Tunisia Islamic Fundamentalists storm into Red Light districts and beat up prostitutes, in Egypt on International Womens Day, women celebrating in a protest for women's rights were attacked by a male mob:

- At same time many sought to solve their problems by becoming Economic Refugees, many Africans moved Northward into Morroco and Libya as means of moving on to Europe, so many that Spain made special arrangements with Morroco whilst Italy same with Libya to halt the flow of Ecomomic Refugees into Italy. All this seems to be not worth the paper it's written on but for the moment it appears to be mostly Tunisians that are fleeing their homeland to seek assylum in Italy. Up to now most western peoples are none to familier with the politics of Islamic Fundamentalism, as I and only now am taking a greater interest beyond the European Crusades and the rise and fall of the Ottoman Empire.

As much as all this some consider a threat to the West it is equally possible it is as much a threat to Islamic Unity as the two main Islamic Religions could as easy turn on themselves as in Iraq, following on popular revolts against both monachist and secular tyrranies.

The 16th Century changed all with cannon and musket. That of course and the Wars of Religious Reformation across Europe were devestating for 200 odd years, could the World stand similar in the Islamic World for as Long with also 'God's chosen people' at the centre of it all, does not bear thinking about does it? See R.T. Hebron and Israeli Settlers Doc, scary stuff and quite awful when you see Jewish People hating Palestinians as many East Europeans hated them not so far back.
- Looking back, maybe it was safer with the Cold War between West and Russia with 'Spy Wars' and a verity of 'Left Revolts' in Europe and Guerriall Wars in Latin America.
